chris_w_pineI had told myself that there was no way I was going to give in to Zach's puppy dog eyes...and I failed. We took a shower and he looked at me with those big brown eyes...and I caved. And he coughed. A lot. We're in bed now and he's cuddled close to me.
"I don't want you to feel bad... I wanted that... I need you..."
"I need you, too...but we're going to take it easy for the rest of the night and...see how things go..."
"I agree..."
"Good," I say and wrap him up in a blanket and my arms. He settles in and tucks his head under my chin. "You really do have the most beautiful eyes..."
"Thank you... I'm glad you like them," he rasps.
"I see them in my dreams..."
"I don't want you to feel bad... I wanted that... I need you..."
"I need you, too...but we're going to take it easy for the rest of the night and...see how things go..."
