I had told myself that there was no way I was going to give in to Zach's puppy dog eyes...and I failed. We took a shower and he looked at me with those big brown eyes...and I caved. And he coughed. A lot. We're in bed now and he's cuddled close to me.

"I don't want you to feel bad... I wanted that... I need you..."

"I need you, too...but we're going to take it easy for the rest of the night and...see how things go..."

"I agree..."

"Good," I say and wrap him up in a blanket and my arms. He settles in and tucks his head under my chin. "You really do have the most beautiful eyes..."

"Thank you... I'm glad you like them," he rasps.

"I see them in my dreams..."

"Pools of warmth...tenderness...velvet pools of brown that I could lose myself in forever..."

"And you are the stuff of my dreams..." I smile and kiss the top of his head.

"Well I'm glad you don't want me to do it all the time like some kind of weird fetish..."

"No...I'm not into snot showers," I laugh and kiss his mouth. "Are you congested?"

"Not anymore," I say and he giggles. "A little but nothing bad..."

[ersatzach]

I smile. "Just you and me. I like that..." I rasp.

[chris_w_pine]

"Always," I promise him. "Always just you and me."

[ersatzach]

"Want to go watch a movie downstairs? We can cuddle on the couch with our kids," I smile.

[ersatzach]

"Sweet," I say. "How about something classic? Like... To Have and Have Not?" I say, being a sucker for Bogie and Bacall.

[chris_w_pine]

"perfect," I smile. We get out of bed and I grab extra blankets to take with us. When we are downstairs, I tell him to settle in on the sofa while I go and get some bottles of water to have on hand.

We settle in with the blanket around us. "We could be Bogie and Bacall..." I say.

[ersatzach]

I settle in against him. "You thnk it'll be strange... promoting Trek and everyone knowing we're together?"

[chris_w_pine]

"I don't think so. They have known for a while and...so far...the response has been mostly positive. Not that I expect it all to be positive. People suck. Especially on the internet."

"You''re not supposed to read anything on the internet," I say.

[ersatzach]

"I will if you keep reading fan message boards," I say. "You're gonna knock their socks off, I know it."

[chris_w_pine]

"What if they're not wearing socks? A lot of people really hate socks...maybe as much as they hate me..."

[ersatzach]

"I know you're not especially fond of socks," I laugh. "THen fuck them."

[ersatzach]

"What's the diagnosis, doc?"

[chris_w_pine]

"You're really warm," I frown. "I don't think your fever is getting higher but it's not going down. Do we own a thermometer?"

[ersatzach]

"I think so?" I say. "Did you check the upstairs medicine cabinet?"

[ersatzach]

I giggle. He does a good Bogie. "If I doze off I'm sorry..."

"I'm not worried about that..." I assure him. "You need your rest."

[ersatzach]

I comment for a little bit about the movie, the acting, my crush on Bogie and then I drift off snuggled up with Chris.
