We are spending the day holed up in the house so that Zach can fight this cold. He says that he's lucky...because he has me to take care of him. Well...I consider myself pretty fucking lucky as well. "So...what's next? Do you want me to finish the book or do you need a nap?"

"Please finish... but don't be mad if I doze off..." he says.

"I won't be mad, baby. You need the rest. Let's get comfortable..."

We curl up together and he starts to read again. This time though I just close my eyes and let his voice lull me asleep...

I continue to read aloud for a while...just to make sure he is soundly asleep. I close the book and put it aside. He is breathing well...not coughing. I tell myself that it's okay to relax...and I drift off for a nap, too.

I yawn and stretch a bit. Chris is pressed against me on the sofa and he's snoring a little. I smile cause I am glad he slept too. I press a kiss to his temple. "I love you."

I feel him stir in my arms...hear his voice. I blink the sleep from my eyes. "Hey...are you okay?"

"You need your rest too... otherwise you'll get rundown..."

[chris_w_pine]

"Well...the good thing about spending sick days at home is that you can nap whenever you want," I smile. "And when I know you are okay, I can nap, too," I wink.

[ersatzach]

"I'm ok. Just a little under the weather...I want you to get your rest too or I'm gonna worry and not be able to sleep..."

[ersatzach]

"I like the stuff in the box," I point out. "But I'll suffer through home made..." I grin. "Can you use fancy cheeses?"

[chris_w_pine]

"And I'll make some fancy shmancy bread crumbs for on top."

"That sounds nice..."

[ersatzach]

I snort. "Some... sexual healing?"

[chris_w_pine]

"Let's wait and see if you feel up to it."

[ersatzach]

"Okay doctor Pine..." I pout. "I'll do whatever you say..." I bite my lower lip.

[ersatzach]

"That sounds good... I'll be in here, snuggling with the fuzzballs."

[chris_w_pine]

"Good," I kiss his forehead, make sure he's covered up with the blanket and head into the kitchen to make lunch.

I smile to myself. He's really an angel. Harold hops onto my lap. "Good boy," I say.

[ersatzach]

"That looks amazing..." I say. He puts the tray across my lap. I take a bite and have some soup. "So good..."

[chris_w_pine]

"How are you feeling? Honestly?"

[ersatzach]

"Still congested but better than yesterday," I say.

[ersatzach]

I pout a little. "All right... you're probably right I just... miss you..." I say the last part very softly, not trying to tease him, just being honest.

[chris_w_pine]

I frown a little then lean in and kiss him softly. "I miss you, too. We'll see how you feel later and if you are up to it...I promise."

[ersatzach]

"Ok..." I smile softly. "The soup really is good..."

[ersatzach]

Chris cleans and then brings me more meds. I dutifully swallow them and wrap a blanket around myself as I cough. "I feel kinda shitty..."

[chris_w_pine]

"No kidding..." I say as I help him lie down on the couch.

[ersatzach]

He helps me get wrapped up in a blanket. "Thanks, baby..."
